Rain!

The weather pattern seems to have changed just a little. We received a little over 1 inch of rain this morning!!

There is another slight chance of rain tomorrow and tomorrow evening - we will see what happens with that!

We are approximately 24 INCHES behind in rainfall, and the drought in this area has been classified as the most severe in many years.

I've been planting vegetables in my garden - I sure hope the rain keeps up so they will grow well!

The weather here is finally taking an interesting turn! We have a tornado watch just to the west of us, which may soon be re-configured to include us, too. Wow!

The cause is a cold front coming from the northwest, along with a deep layer of moisture over the state. We had a 60% chance of rain today, but really didn't get anymore than sprinkles. Hopefully we will get a few "gully washers" overnight and tomorrow! I'm excited to see some lightning and hear a few good rumbles of thunder. It's perfect sleeping weather! (As long as a tornado doesn't form up.....yikes!) 70% chance tonight.

I'm keeping an eye on the radar tonight. So far nothing really exciting has formed yet. I'll be sure to post if anything does seem to start happening!

I can't believe my eyes!

We have a chance of rain from Monday to Wednesday of next week. Yes, really!
